The PG Group Medical Scheme provides medical scheme cover for the employees, pensioners, widows and families of PG Group.

Currently 2 644 lives are covered.

PG Group Medical Scheme is committed to providing members with access to appropriate and quality healthcare benefits at competitive rates in a managed healthcare environment, supported by efficient administration.

The Scheme has a reserve ratio of 122.85% (September 2023). This is well in excess of the statutory minimum of 25%.

The Scheme provides wellness benefits, in hospital (with gap cover), out of hospital (with a savings account), community care treatment, chronic medication and managed care programmes.

The Scheme is managed by a Board of Trustees consisting of six Trustees, with two alternate Trustees.

The appointed Administrator is Momentum Health Solutions.

The Scheme is registered as a medical scheme in terms of the Medical Schemes Act, 131 of 1998. The Council for Medical Schemes is the regulatory body for medical schemes.
